Blocklayer wanted in Yankton County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a blocklayer in Yankton County, South Dakota. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage On a typical shift you will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
