Fusing press operator — Charles County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Charles County, Maryland. The job is at a textile finishing unit. Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine On a typical shift you will press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; give each garment a final press before packing. At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. We offer $5,200 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
