Port container crane operator — Ungogo

Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Ungogo, Kano State. You will work in a steel fabrication workshop. You will follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; read and interpret the load chart before every lift. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Strong attention to safety and load limits Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. ₦10,000 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
