Ladle pourer — Webster County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Webster County, Iowa. The job is on the moulding line. Day-to-day duties: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Full-time with occasional weekends.
