Vacancy available: commis chef (Illinois)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a commis chef in Henry County, Illinois. You will be based at a roadside dhaba. What we are looking for: • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets • Willing to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays The role involves label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; check fryer oil and change it when it breaks down; follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Contact us to fix an interview.
