Vacancy available: we are hiring a baker in York County, Virginia. You should have: • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Food handler / hygiene certificate Day to day you will score the top of loaves before baking; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; check finished products for colour, crumb and weight; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
