Urgent requirement: sample machinist (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sample machinist in Sheffield, England. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines The role involves sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish.
