Now hiring: single needle operator (Tennessee)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a single needle operator in Morgan County, Tennessee. You will work at a busy garment factory. You will stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens 1+ years on the tools preferred.
