Reinforcement fitter — Floyd County

Join our team: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Floyd County, Georgia. You will be based on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Day to day you will form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Requirements: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites 5+ years on the tools preferred.
