Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Jasper County, Mississippi. The job is at a busy sheet-metal workshop. What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Own basic hand tools and PPE The role involves: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion 6+ years on the tools preferred.
