Urgent requirement: we are hiring a presser in Warren County, New York. The job is at a textile finishing unit. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Day to day you will sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
