Vacancy available: powder coating technician (Scotland)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a powder coating technician in Shetland Islands, Scotland. The job is on an industrial coating line. Day-to-day duties: • Check dry film thickness with a DFT gauge in microns • Mask off threads, holes and machined faces with caps and tape • Degrease and clean metal parts before coating • Apply an even powder coat with the electrostatic spray gun Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of pre-treatment and phosphating process • Comfortable working in a masked, ventilated booth • Aware of PPE, respirator and fire-safety norms 3+ years on the tools preferred. We offer £17 per hour plus benefits. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
