Panel welder wanted in Putnam County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a panel welder in Putnam County, Illinois. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Day to day you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
