Foundry operative — Barron County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Barron County, Wisconsin. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal On a typical shift you will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces.
