Brickwork mason • Mayes County, Oklahoma

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Mayes County, Oklahoma. You will be based on a busy housing site. Requirements: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Day-to-day duties: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
