Now hiring: we are hiring a hoist operator in Richmond County, New York. The job is on a high-rise tower crane. Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Strong attention to safety and load limits Day to day you will work out the load weight and the lifting radius; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits.
