Urgent requirement: we are hiring a single needle operator in York County, Maine. The role involves stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Overtime paid at a premium rate.
