Canteen cook — Jefferson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a canteen cook in Jefferson County, Missouri. The role involves follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; prepare stocks, sauces and soups from scratch; label and date all prepped ingredients in the walk-in; prepare the mise en place before each service; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat. Requirements: • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts.
