LGV Class 1 driver — Newport County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a LGV Class 1 driver in Newport County, Rhode Island. You will work at a haulage company. Day-to-day duties: • Log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock Requirements: • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence Six days a week, one day off.
