Foundry operative — Hawkins County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Hawkins County, Tennessee. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. You will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
