Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Carbon County, Wyoming. Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
