Now hiring: we are hiring a stitching operator in Dallas County, Iowa. The job is at a busy garment factory. Your main tasks: • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers What we are looking for: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens 5+ years on the tools preferred.
