Brickwork mason • Weld County, Colorado

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Weld County, Colorado. The job is on a busy housing site. The role involves: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day 6+ years on the tools preferred.
