Great opportunity: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Stanton County, Kansas. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding You will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls.
