Great opportunity: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Allegany County, New York. On the job you will handle: • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets • Write and edit G-code programs at the control You should have: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Overtime paid at a premium rate.
