Argon welder — Wrexham

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Wrexham, Wales. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On a typical shift you will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush. You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off.
