Now hiring: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Moniteau County, Missouri. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Ideal candidate: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths On a typical shift you will keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
