Concrete pump mate — Calhoun County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Calhoun County, South Carolina. On the job you will handle: • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days Ideal candidate: • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
