Sausage maker — Ransom County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a sausage maker in Ransom County, North Dakota. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Requirements: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths The role involves: • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
