Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Day to day you will check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch.
