We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry worker in Shasta County, California. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day-to-day duties: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
