Crane rigger — Chaves County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane rigger in Chaves County, New Mexico. You will work at a power plant. On a typical shift you will tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Confident with standard crane hand signals Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
