Shakeout operator — Macon County

Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Macon County, Georgia. The job is on the moulding line. Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring You should have: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills Six days a week, one day off.
