Moulder — Alleghany County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a moulder in Alleghany County, Virginia. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day-to-day duties: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Six days a week, one day off.
