Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete placer in Orhionmwon, Edo. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Day-to-day duties: • Screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour Requirements: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
