Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Owen County, Kentucky. You will be based in a heavy machinery workshop. Requirements: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams The role involves attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; read lift plans and method statements before starting. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
