Vacancy available: we are hiring a construction helper in Hood County, Texas. You will work on a commercial building project. Ideal candidate: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Day-to-day duties: • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
