Foundry operative — Warji

Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Warji, Bauchi State. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Your main tasks: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
