Pipe tig welder — Nicholas County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Nicholas County, Kentucky. The role involves: • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium 1+ years on the tools preferred.
