Fabrication workshop technician — Morgan County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Morgan County, Illinois. The job is at a glazing and fabrication factory. The role involves clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; cut and weld mullions and transoms into the frame; cut uPVC profiles to size on a double-mitre saw at 45 degrees; insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it. You should have: • An eye for finish — no scratches, clean welds, flush beads • Driving licence for measure-up and site-fitting visits • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely 6+ years on the tools preferred.
