Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in McDonough County, Illinois. The job is at a stainless steel fabrication shop. Day to day you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through 6+ years on the tools preferred.
