Groundworker — Barnstable County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a groundworker in Barnstable County, Massachusetts. The job is on a commercial building project. Day-to-day duties: • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer Requirements: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Site safety induction or labour card an advantage 2+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around $130 per day, based on your experience. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
