Rigging foreman — Putnam County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rigging foreman in Putnam County, Ohio. You will be based at a container port. What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Your main tasks: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio Six days a week, one day off.
