Vacancy available: gas metal arc welder (Abia State)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Ikwuano, Abia State. You will be based at a busy production line. Day to day you will bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
