Join our team: we are hiring a tig welder in Johnson County, Iowa. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium The role involves: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode 3+ years on the tools preferred.
