Great opportunity: we are hiring an elevator technician in Newton County, Georgia. The job is in a machine room on the rooftop. Your main tasks: • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox Ideal candidate: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics Full-time, day shift.
