Immediate opening: press setter operator (Virginia)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a press setter operator in City of Portsmouth, Virginia. The job is on the press shop floor. On the job you will handle: • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Set up and change stamping dies and tooling • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Deburr and stack finished components for the next operation • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
