Vacancy available: foundry labourer (West Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Harrison County, West Virginia. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day to day you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $160 per day, based on your experience. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
