Safety officer — Dewey County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety officer in Dewey County, South Dakota. On a typical shift you will verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height. You should have: • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
