Vacancy available: we are hiring a power float operator in Allen Parish, Louisiana. The job is on a building construction site. Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE On the job you will handle: • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
